Rick is a retired Cheyenne business owner and has been part of Friends of Foster Families since its early years in the mid-1990s. Now serving as President, Rick brings decades of commitment to the organization and its mission of supporting foster children and families in our community.
Bernadine joined Friends of Foster Families in 2002, stepping into the role of Treasurer after retiring from teaching preschool. She and Rick have called Cheyenne home for most of their lives, where they raised three daughters and now enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren.
Stacy and Brandin are newer faces on the board, with Stacy serving as Secretary and Brandin embracing his self-appointed role as resident “fun-raiser.”
As foster parents themselves, they also host The Village, Friends of Foster Families foster parent support group, creating a space for families to share both the hard and the hopeful parts of foster parenting.
Although Katie considers herself a “behind-the-scenes” kind of person, her impact on Friends of Foster Families is anything but unnoticed. She goes out of her way to make events memorable and fun for foster children and their families and is an important part of making Friends of Foster Families work happen.
Jim has supported Friends of Foster Families for many years through fundraising and community events. He is especially known for leading the Friends of Foster Families annual Christmas party, and helping make the holiday season a little more special for foster children and families in our community.

Friends of Foster Families is grateful for the individuals in our community who share our commitment to supporting foster children and families. We especially appreciate the DFS professionals who collaborate with, encourage, and support our efforts. While Friends of Foster Families is an independent nonprofit organization and is not operated by DFS, we value the opportunity to work alongside those who serve foster families in our community.
